Today was a delightful Kathmandu weather day—started hot, but not too hot, then rapidly got hotter. Laundry was hung (you know it). Black clouds rolled in. They dissipated. Blue skies returned… until the dark ones came back and we had a sudden, prolonged, joyful outburst.
It’s not been that long without rain, but when you’ve gotten used to having it every day, you miss it. (Also, you have to keep up with watering your plants.)
It clears up, sunshowers, sun on wet patches, and tonight’s sunset, extra memorable: orange skies that tended to pink, with a vibrant pink Jacob’s ladder off on a distant hill in the southwest. It faded into two-toned clouds, blue on top and pink on the bottom. The blue gained visibly and soon the horizon was all blue clouds on lighter sky, the night’s show abruptly shuttered after the spectacular finale.
