An attractive kite
and a useful resource for the Nepal bird lover
If you’re into birds in Nepal, Birds of Nepal—not to be confused with the bird books of the same name that I’ve written about before—is a blog I have been consulting for years, made by some folks whose stated aim is to photograph every bird in Nepal. That’s it. Despite the fact that it hasn’t been updated in a while (alas, but I live in hope) it’s an invaluable resource as is, with an index, checklist, and good search function. They’ve photographed incredible and ordinary birds all across the country (seriously, check this one out), and they note the date, elevation and location, as well as sharing the occasional bird-specific tip. I do hope they come back to it, but even if they don’t, what they have put up already is wonderfully, delightfully useful.
